Benefits of Surah Muzammil
The Surah Muzammil or simply Surah Muzammil, means He Wrapped Himself or He Wrapped Himself Up or He Folded Himself Up and named so because when this surah was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, he wrapped himself up with his garment and did not come out of his room till the verse (which means): Nay! It is a glorious Qur'an, [inscribed] in a Tablet Preserved!
The importance of Surah Muzammil
Reading Surah Muzammil (chapter 78) is extremely important to boost our iman. Surah Muzzammil is protection against jinn and shaytan. It protects you from being affected by black magic and evil eyes.
This surah was revealed in Makkah and it’s recited at night in every Rakat of tahajjud. You can recite it before going to bed as well as when waking up for fajr salaah.
Read it with concentration, focus, sincerity, love, respect, humility, and tranquility. The best time to read it is after tahajjud salaah when your heart has been cleansed of all sins and impurities that occurred during the day.

The benefits of reciting surah muzammil
What’s great about surah muzammil is that it’s easy to memorize and it doesn’t take a lot of time. Also, because it contains numerous benefits, including protection from harm, according to a hadith recorded in Sahih Muslim, if you recite surah muzammil before you go to sleep, Allah will raise you in status for doing so.
In addition, reciting surah muzammil has been said to increase one’s iman (faith) and make dua more likely to be answered.
If you want your dua to be answered, there are many things you can do: Make sure your heart is sincere; make sure your salat (prayer) isn’t delayed; don’t despair—and remember that Allah loves those who put their trust in Him! The word muzammil means wrapped up, covered up, or concealed. It refers to an ayah in which God says He will wrap up believers in His mercy on Judgment Day when they enter Paradise. لفظ مزمل کے معنی لپیٹے ہوئے، ڈھکے ہوئے یا چھپانے کے ہیں۔ اس سے مراد ایک آیت ہے جس میں خدا کہتا ہے کہ وہ قیامت کے دن مومنوں کو اپنی رحمت میں لپیٹ لے گا جب وہ جنت میں داخل ہوں گے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ بھی ذکر کیا کہ جو شخص سورہ مزمل کی تلاوت کرے گا اسے شیطان (شیطان) سے محفوظ رکھا جائے گا جیسا کہ سنن ابن ماجہ میں ہے۔

Doing Wazif for surah muzammil
The surah muzammil is particularly effective in removing sickness and distress from those who recite it with due attention and concentration. However, many ahadith have been narrated by our early saints relating to its benefits: Among them is that Allah will forgive all sins for a man who recites it when he wakes up at night.
- It is also said that if a person recites it regularly, his needs will be fulfilled.
- If one recites it after every obligatory prayer his debts will be cleared off; and
- if one recites it before going to bed, no harm will come to him during sleep.
